Step into a highly specialized cardiovascular operating environment, supporting remarkable patient care and surgical excellence. We seek a dynamic Registered Nurse with CVOR experience for an important contract position in a modern, multidisciplinary OR setting. The care team provides expert support for open heart procedures and essential cardiothoracic interventions.
Schedule & Hours:
- Day Shift: 7 AM 3 PM with call coverage after 3 PM
- Weekend and holiday call coverage required
Qualifications:
- Active RN license with a strong clinical background in cardiovascular operating room nursing
- Demonstrated expertise in open heart procedures and cardiothoracic service lines
- BLS and ACLS certifications (required)
- Experience in additional service lines (Trauma, Gen, Gyn, Uro, Ortho, Neuro, Plastics) is highly desirable
- Experience with Meditech EMR preferred
- Consistent dependability and adaptability to changing caseloads
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide hands-on nursing care for open heart, valve replacement, ECMO, and related cardiothoracic procedures in a fully equipped OR setting
- Maintain vigilant 1:1 patient supervision throughout complex surgical interventions
- Support the interdisciplinary care team and adjust to floating assignments in other operating rooms when the open heart suite is unoccupied
- Adhere to all unit-specific policies, procedures, and compliance guidelines
- Participate in call rotations, including holidays and weekends, to ensure seamless coverage for critical cardiovascular cases
- Maintain professionalism and composure in high-acuity, fast-paced settings
