Key Qualifications:

• Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license
• At least one year of direct CVOR nursing experience
• ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Strong knowledge of cardiovascular procedures, instrumentation, and sterile technique
• Ability to respond quickly and calmly in emergency situations
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide pre-, intra-, and post-operative nursing care for cardiovascular surgical patients
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical technologists during procedures
• Monitor patient status and vital signs, recognizing and reporting any changes promptly
• Maintain a sterile and organized operating environment
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and promptly
• Educate patients and families on procedures, recovery, and ongoing care needs
