A challenging opportunity is available for an experienced RN with CVOR expertise to support surgical operations in a dynamic acute care setting. This contract position is based in Pearland, TX, and involves working in a well-equipped operating room environment focused on diverse surgical procedures, including robotics and specialty surgeries.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of OR circulating experience in an acute care hospital setting
- Skilled in a broad range of procedures: General Surgery, ENT, Urology/Gynecology, Orthopedics, and Robotics
- CVOR experience required
- CNOR certification and over 5 years of experience preferred
- Current BLS certification
Responsibilities:
- Participate in multiple daily shifts covering 14 OR rooms, including 2 dedicated CVORs
- Deliver 1:1 patient care ratios with a focus on safety and quality
- Collaborate closely with surgical teams on a range of procedures including heavy robotics, colorectal, vascular, and urology surgeries
- Adhere to unit policies such as wearing provided scrubs, maintaining artificial nails restrictions, and meeting response times for on-call duties
- Support on-call responsibilities with flexible scheduling, covering evenings, weekends, and holidays on rotation
Location: Situated in a bustling operating unit, this role offers exposure to a state-of-the-art environment on the 2nd floor of the South Tower, providing a comprehensive surgical experience across multiple specialties. The unit operates from early morning through the evening, with demanding but rewarding shifts supporting a fast-paced surgical schedule.
