A specialized opportunity is available for an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) with expertise in Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) nursing. This contract role requires a dedicated professional to provide exceptional perioperative care in a fast-paced surgical environment focused on cardiac and vascular procedures.
Location: This position is based in Osage, Iowa, a charming small town known for its welcoming community and scenic Midwest landscapes. Responsibilities include:
- Delivering safe, efficient, and comprehensive nursing care in the CVOR setting.
- Collaborating closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other team members to optimize patient outcomes.
- Preparing the operating room and monitoring patients throughout cardiovascular surgical procedures.
- Managing post-operative patient care with attention to vital signs and recovery protocols.
- Responding promptly during call shifts to provide expert care and support as needed.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Current and unrestricted RN license.
- Proven experience and specialized skills in CVOR nursing.
- Ability to work day shifts primarily (0630-1500), Monday through Friday.
- Willingness to cover approximately 10-12 call days per month including every third weekend on call.
- Strong critical thinking, communication, and teamwork abilities.
Schedule:
- 8-hour day shifts, 0630-1500, Monday through Friday.
- Approximately 10-12 call days monthly, including every 3rd weekend on call.
