A healthcare facility in Osage, Iowa, is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse with expertise in Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) nursing. Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care in the cardiovascular operating room, ensuring patient safety and adherence to clinical protocols
- Collaborate with surgical teams to prepare, assist during, and manage postoperative care for cardiovascular procedures
- Monitor patient vital signs and respond promptly to changes in condition
- Maintain meticulous documentation of procedures and patient status
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to optimize care delivery
Qualifications/Desired Experience:
- Valid RN licensure with experience in Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) nursing
- Strong knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy, surgical procedures, and sterile techniques
- Excellent critical thinking and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Flexibility to take call approximately 10-12 days per month, including every third weekend
Schedule/Hours:
- Day shift, Monday through Friday, 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM
- Call duty approximately 10-12 days per month with every third weekend on call
