Schedule/Hours:
- 12-hour day shifts
- Total of 36 hours per week
- 13-week assignment
- On-call commitment: 1 weekend per month and 1-2 days during the week
Qualifications:
- Active RN license
- Minimum 1 year of recent CVOR experience
- BLS certification (AHA required)
- Excellent critical thinking and organization skills
- Strong adaptability and communication abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide perioperative nursing care in the CVOR, ensuring patient safety before, during, and after cardiovascular procedures
- Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesia, and surgical techs to ensure optimal outcomes
- Maintain strict adherence to aseptic technique and hospital protocols
- Respond to emergencies promptly and effectively, utilizing advanced clinical judgment
- Support patients and families by delivering thoughtful education and compassionate communication
