Qualifications/Experience:

  • Active and unencumbered RN license, eligible for Florida
  • Minimum of 2 years' recent CVOR nursing experience
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA preferred)
  • Familiarity with cardiovascular surgical cases and procedures
  • Strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills
  • Ability to adapt quickly in fast-paced, high-acuity settings

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care in the CVOR before, during, and after procedures
  • Assist surgical team with instrument preparation, patient monitoring, and documentation
  • Advocate for patient safety and optimal outcomes throughout surgical procedures
  • Maintain strict adherence to sterile technique and infection control policies
  • Educate patients and families on pre/postoperative care
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver seamless cardiovascular care
