Job Description

Schedule & Assignment Details:

  • 12-hour day shifts
  • 13-week assignment

Key Qualifications:

  • Active RN license with good standing
  • Minimum of 2 years of recent CVOR experience
  • BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • Proven proficiency in circulating and scrubbing within the CVOR
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced hospital environment
  • Strong communication and critical thinking skills

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary surgical team to manage pre-, intra-, and post-operative patient care
  • Assist cardiovascular surgeons during procedures, ensuring adherence to sterile technique and safety standards
  • Monitor patient responses and vital signs, intervening swiftly as needed
  • Document surgical activities and maintain accurate patient records
  • Oversee equipment readiness and manage supplies for optimal operating room efficiency
  • Educate patients and their families pre- and post-surgery, providing clear information and reassurance
