Schedule & Assignment Details:
- 12-hour day shifts
- 13-week assignment
Key Qualifications:
- Active RN license with good standing
- Minimum of 2 years of recent CVOR experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Proven proficiency in circulating and scrubbing within the CVOR
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced hospital environment
- Strong communication and critical thinking skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary surgical team to manage pre-, intra-, and post-operative patient care
- Assist cardiovascular surgeons during procedures, ensuring adherence to sterile technique and safety standards
- Monitor patient responses and vital signs, intervening swiftly as needed
- Document surgical activities and maintain accurate patient records
- Oversee equipment readiness and manage supplies for optimal operating room efficiency
- Educate patients and their families pre- and post-surgery, providing clear information and reassurance
