Seeking a skilled Registered Nurse with expertise in Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) nursing for a contract opportunity. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong clinical skills and thrive in a dynamic surgical environment dedicated to high-quality patient care.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid RN license in good standing
• Minimum of 2 years recent experience in a CVOR setting
• Advanced knowledge of cardiovascular surgical procedures and sterile techniques
• BLS and ACLS certifications (current and active)
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary surgical team
• Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) documentation

Primary Responsibilities:

• Assist surgeons in cardiovascular and thoracic procedures within the operating room
• Monitor and support patients vital signs throughout surgery, ensuring optimal outcomes
• Administer and document medications or treatments as ordered
• Maintain strict adherence to aseptic technique and patient safety protocols at all times
• Advocate for patient needs, remaining vigilant for changes in condition or complications
• Collaborate seamlessly with anesthesia, surgical, and sterile processing personnel
• Efficiently manage operating room resources and turnover between cases
• Participate in preoperative and postoperative education for patients and their families

$2,299 - $2,432/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 40 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
