Job Description
Embark on a dynamic nursing assignment in a high-acuity cardiovascular operating room environment, supporting patients through complex surgical procedures. This contract opportunity offers a chance to hone your expertise as a Registered Nurse specializing in CVOR on a rotating weekend schedule. Night shifts of 3x12 hours (19:00 07:00) will ensure continuity of exceptional care.
Schedule/Hours:
- Night shift: 3x12-Hour (19:00 07:00)
- Weekend rotation (details discussed during interview)
- Call requirement: Typically one weekday call per week and one weekend call every 5-6 weeks
- Floating within facility and scope of practice as needed
Qualifications:
- Current, active RN license
- At least 2 years of RN experience (CVOR preferred)
- Open to first-time travelers with demonstrated clinical competence
- Comfortable with call responsibilities and weekend/holiday shifts
- Ability to float within assigned scope and collaborate with multiple departments
- Willingness to work holidays per assignment period requirements
Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality perioperative nursing care to cardiovascular surgical patients
- Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesia, and surgical teams to ensure optimal outcomes
- Monitor patient conditions and respond promptly to changes
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and uphold facility standards
- Participate in committee rotations, unit meetings, and quality improvement initiatives when applicable
- Adhere to full compliance requirements to ensure timely start and integration into the orientation schedule
Additional Details:
- Maximum of 7 days requested time off (RTO) allowed during assignment
- Compliance with major holiday work requirements as outlined
- Clinical screening conducted to determine fit before final consideration
- Locals are accepted
