An exciting opportunity is available for experienced Registered Nurses specializing in Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) nursing. This busy hospital environment requires skilled professionals to provide exceptional care in a fast-paced surgical setting.

Schedule/Hours:

• 12-hour day shifts
• 13-week assignment

Desired Qualifications:

• Active RN licensure in good standing
• Minimum of two years recent experience in CVOR nursing
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications required
• Strong working knowledge of perioperative CV procedures, instrumentation, and sterile technique
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and surgical technologists
• Excellent critical thinking, organizational, and communication skills

Role Responsibilities:

• Deliver patient-centered care throughout the perioperative continuum, with a focus on cardiovascular surgery cases
• Circulate and/or scrub as necessary for CVOR procedures, maintaining strict adherence to infection control protocols
• Ensure safe handling and proper usage of highly specialized equipment, instruments, and monitoring devices
• Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to anticipate needs of the surgical team and optimize patient outcomes
• Foster a supportive environment for patients and their families, providing education and addressing concerns as needed
• Participate in ongoing quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
