Job Description
Bring your expertise as an experienced OR Circulating Registered Nurse to a dynamic and high-performing operating room environment specializing in cardiovascular surgeries. This contract opportunity offers the chance to collaborate with a supportive team in a facility featuring 14 operating rooms, including 2 dedicated CVORs.
Schedule:
- Shift begins at 6:30 AM, with daily team huddles at 6:45 AM
- Staff self-schedule 1-2 on-call shifts per week, with weekend and weekday on-call coverage required
- Weekend on-call is 24 hours (Sat/Sun); weekday call begins at end of regular shift
Qualifications:
- An active RN license with BLS certification
- Minimum 2 years of OR circulating experience in an acute care hospital
- Well-versed in general surgery, ENT, urology/gynecology, orthopedics, and robotics
- Demonstrated experience in CVOR procedures
- Preferred: CNOR certification and over 5 years of overall OR experience
- Flexible and adaptable; able to thrive in a fast-paced and evolving environment
Responsibilities:
- Circulate in a 1:1 patient/nurse ratio, supporting diverse procedures (Robotics, Gyn, General Surgery, ENT, Vascular, Colorectal, Urology)
- Collaborate with a skilled daytime team of RNs and Surgical Technologists
- Float to preoperative holding as needed
- Adhere to clean attire policy (scrubs provided)
- Ensure prompt response to on-call needs (30-minute response time)
