An exciting opportunity is available for experienced Registered Nurses with cardiovascular operating room (CVOR) expertise. This position is based in a dynamic, high-volume hospital environment, offering valuable experience in a specialized surgical setting. The contract spans 13 weeks, providing a chance to make a meaningful impact alongside a dedicated team.

Schedule:

• 12-hour day shifts

Key Qualifications:

• Active and unencumbered RN license
• Minimum of 2 years of recent CVOR experience
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
• Proven ability to work collaboratively with surgical, anesthesia, and perfusion teams
• Adept at maintaining composure and prioritizing patient care in a fast-paced environment

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver compassionate, safe, and high-quality nursing care for patients undergoing cardiac and vascular procedures
• Maintain strict aseptic technique and support all aspects of surgical safety
• Monitor, assess, and document patient status before, during, and after procedures
• Support surgeons and OR staff by providing essential equipment and sterile instrumentation
• Act as a patient advocate, ensuring individualized care and clear communication with patients and families
• Participate in pre- and post-operative patient education and care planning
