Job Description

A leading healthcare facility is seeking experienced Registered Nurses with a background in Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) nursing to support surgical services for a 13-week contract. This high-volume environment offers the chance to make a meaningful impact while further developing your skills among a dedicated surgical team.

Schedule:

  • 12-hour day shifts

Qualifications:

  • Active RN license
  • Minimum of one year of recent CVOR experience
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications
  • Strong knowledge of cardiovascular surgical procedures and instrumentation
  • Exceptional critical thinking and organizational skills
  • Adaptable to high-pressure and fast-paced surgical settings
  • Effective communicator and adept at working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams

Responsibilities:

  • Assist surgeons during complex cardiovascular procedures, ensuring strict adherence to sterile technique
  • Monitor patient status and anticipate needs during all phases of surgery
  • Collaborate closely with anesthesiologists, surgical technologists, and support staff before, during, and after procedures
  • Prepare the operating room with appropriate equipment and supplies for each case
  • Complete accurate documentation and surgical records
  • Support a culture of safety, quality, and respect in every interaction
