As a CVOR travel nurse, you'll function under the guidance of the Department Manager and Clinical Coordinator, using your expanded expertise to deliver exceptional cardiovascular operating room care. You'll play a vital role in high-stakes environments, responding confidently to complex, urgent, and life-saving situations. With direct involvement in both circulating and surgical tech roles during peak surgery hours, youll gain valuable firsthand experience, widen your CVOR clinical perspective, and hone your leadership acumen through charge nurse and staff development opportunities.
Schedule/Hours:
- Full time position
- Weekday, weekend, and holiday call required
Desired Qualifications:
- RN licensure with cardiovascular operating room experience
- Ability to coordinate patient care addressing all age groups and needs
- Proven competency directing and prioritizing surgical team responses in emergent situations
- Strong communication, teamwork, and leadership skills
- Experience participating in staff development and training encouraged
Role Responsibilities:
- Implement the nursing process based on advanced clinical knowledge
- Deliver safe, effective care for patients with complex cardiac needs
- Guide surgical team activities with composure and precision during emergencies
- Support educational needs of patients, families, and team members
- Serve as a role model and mentor within the surgical suite
- Take on circulating and surgical tech responsibilities as needed
- Fulfill occasional charge nurse duties
