Working on a dynamic day surgery unit offers exposure to a variety of surgical procedures, advanced technologies, and a multidisciplinary team dedicated to excellence. You'll develop your practice within a Level III Trauma Center that features a state-designated NICU and has received accolades for its commitment to quality and patient safety. Schedule/Hours
- 13-week assignment
- Variable shifts, 36 guaranteed hours per week
- Weekend and on-call requirements to be discussed during your interview
Essential Qualifications & Desired Experience
- Active TX RN license (no temporary licenses)
- Minimum 2 years recent Day Surgery/OR experience
- Experience working with adult, adolescent, and geriatric patients
- Required certifications: ACLS, PALS, BLS
- Familiarity with Meditech (preferred)
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a positive, welcoming attitude
- Comfort with floating as needed
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare patients pre- and post-operatively
- Monitor patient status and collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams
- Ensure best practices in care and proper documentation within Meditech
- Provide compassionate support across a spectrum of surgical specialties, including cardiovascular, orthopedics, neuroscience, and more
