This opportunity is for a Registered Nurse with specialized experience in Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) procedures. The role is based in Charles City, IA, providing essential surgical nursing care in a dynamic hospital environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide perioperative nursing care to patients undergoing cardiovascular procedures
- Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes
- Monitor patients before, during, and after surgery, maintaining sterile techniques and adherence to protocols
- Respond effectively to emergencies and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams
- Document patient care accurately and thoroughly
Qualifications:
- Current RN licensure
- Proven experience in CVOR nursing
- Strong knowledge of cardiovascular surgical procedures and protocols
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to manage call duties, including weekends
Schedule:
- Primarily Day Shift: 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday
- Call duty approximately 10-12 days per month, including every third weekend
