Desired Qualifications:
- Active and unencumbered RN license
- Minimum of 2 years recent experience in CVOR nursing
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications
- Demonstrated ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-acuity surgical environments
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Critical thinking and time management proficiency
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct, specialized nursing care before, during, and after cardiovascular surgeries
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical technologists to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Scrub and circulate in the CVOR as needed
- Monitor and assess patients status during operative procedures
- Maintain strict adherence to sterile technique and infection control protocols
- Document patient care thoroughly and accurately using electronic medical records
- Support patient and family education throughout the surgical process
