Take on a pivotal nursing role caring for patients in a cardiovascular operating room within a well-equipped surgical department. As a CVOR Registered Nurse, youll support a team of skilled healthcare professionals dedicated to high-quality surgical care for cardiac and vascular patients.
Schedule:
- 6:00AM - 4:30PM
Key Qualifications:
- Active and unrestricted RN license
- Experience in cardiovascular operating room (CVOR) nursing required
- Strong knowledge of sterile techniques and cardiac surgical procedures
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and a multidisciplinary team
- Experience with monitoring, documenting, and maintaining a safe and supportive environment for high-acuity patients
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide expert care to patients undergoing open heart and vascular procedures
- Demonstrate proficiency in scrubbing and circulating duties in the CVOR
- Assist surgical teams by anticipating patient and surgeon needs before, during, and after procedures
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient care and surgical activities
- Monitor patient vitals, administer medications, and provide immediate response to any complications
- Coordinate seamlessly with surgeons, anesthesiologists, technicians, and other RNs to ensure optimal patient outcomes
