As a Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) Nurse working in a dynamic surgical environment, youll play a crucial role in supporting life-saving care and guiding patient journeys through complex procedures. This experience offers exceptional exposure to emergent and urgent patient care, staff coordination, and suite management. Youll collaborate with skilled surgeons, anesthesiologists, and fellow nurseseach day presenting new learning opportunities and professional challenges.
Schedule:
- Full-time position
- Weekday, weekend, and holiday call required
Responsibilities:
- Implement the nursing process based on advanced knowledge
- Deliver patient care tailored to a range of ages and needsbiological, emotional, developmental, psychosocial, and educational
- Act as circulator or surgical tech during peak surgery hours, handling complex and urgent cases
- Prioritize and coordinate surgical suite activities in emergent situations
- Supervise, mentor, and develop other staff as a role model and team leader
- Participate in staff and self-development, maintaining high standards of clinical excellence
- Perform some charge nurse responsibilities as needed
Qualifications:
- Active RN license
- Demonstrated experience in CVOR or relevant OR settings
- Strong critical thinking skills; ability to lead teams during emergencies
- Confidence to manage, direct, and mentor colleagues
- Flexibility for call shifts, including holidays and weekends
