Deliver high-quality patient care and make a meaningful impact in a cardiovascular intensive care environment. This key role centers on monitoring, assessing, and managing patients with complex cardiac conditions, collaborating closely with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal outcomes.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Current and valid RN license
- Specialized experience within a Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU)
- Strong knowledge of cardiac rhythms, hemodynamic monitoring, and post-operative cardiac care
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications required
- Excellent communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills
- Ability to respond effectively in high-pressure situations
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide vigilant, comprehensive care to post-cardiac surgery and critically ill cardiac patients
- Administer medications, manage IV drips, and utilize advanced cardiac monitoring equipment
- Collaborate with physicians and allied health professionals on individualized care plans
- Accurately document patient data, interventions, and progress in electronic records
- Educate patients and their families regarding procedures, recovery trajectories, and ongoing care requirements
- Adhere strictly to infection control and safety policies and standards
