Step into a vital role providing high-level care for critically ill cardiac patients in a dynamic Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit. This contract opportunity is tailored for Registered Nurses with seasoned expertise who are eager to deliver advanced care alongside a collaborative interdisciplinary team.

Qualifications:

• Active and unencumbered RN license
• Minimum of one year recent experience in a CVICU or similar intensive care environment
• Proficiency in managing cardiac patients requiring drips, vents, and invasive monitoring
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (issued by the American Heart Association)
• Strong critical thinking and rapid decision-making skills
• Excellent communication, documentation, and teamwork abilities
• BSN preferred

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive and compassionate care to patients recovering from major cardiac procedures or dealing with complex cardiovascular issues
• Monitor and interpret telemetry and hemodynamic data, responding rapidly to emergent situations
• Administer and titrate IV medications according to protocols
• Collaborate closely with physicians, therapists, and other allied health professionals to coordinate integrated care plans
• Educate patients and their families on post-operative or chronic cardiac care and recovery
• Accurately document nursing assessments, interventions, and patient responses
• Uphold strict adherence to infection control and hospital safety standards
