Schedule/Hours:
- 12-hour night shifts
- Start Date: June 15
Qualifications:
- RN license with a minimum of 2+ years of recent CVICU experience
- Recent travel nursing experience in a similar setting
- Experience managing fresh heart patients is essential
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS (all required)
- Proficient with EPIC charting system
- Comfortable working in a high-acuity environment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, evidence-based nursing care to cardiothoracic ICU patients
- Monitor and interpret vital data, assist in advanced cardiovascular procedures
- Collaborate closely with surgeons, cardiologists, and allied staff
- Educate patients and families on treatments and care plans
- Ensure accurate documentation and communication in EPIC
- Maintain a patient-centered focus and stay current with best practices
