Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care as a skilled RN specializing in Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) services. In this contract position, you will provide expert nursing care to patients with complex cardiac conditions, while collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary healthcare team. Your ability to lead, supervise, and coordinate care will help ensure the highest standards of patient safety and recovery.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Active RN license in good standing
- Minimum of one year recent experience in CVICU or critical care settings
- Strong competency in cardiac monitoring, vasoactive drips, and post-operative cardiac care
- Proven ability to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care using the nursing process
- Excellent communication, critical thinking, and organizational skills
- Previous supervisory or team-lead experience preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver and coordinate care for assigned cardiovascular patients in accordance with established protocols and standards
- Oversee and guide the work of nursing staff, providing mentorship and support as needed
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and support staff to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
- Administer medications, monitor patient progress, and respond quickly to changes in condition
- Document assessments, interventions, and patient outcomes clearly and accurately
- Promote a safe, therapeutic, and healing environment for patients and their families
