Job Description

Exciting opportunity for an experienced Registered Nurse with CVICU expertise to deliver excellent patient care within a fast-paced critical care environment. Preferred Schedule/Hours:

  • Full-time, variable shifts
  • Weekend and holiday rotation may be required

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Current, unencumbered RN license
  • Minimum of 1 year recent CVICU experience
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications required
  • Proficient in hemodynamic monitoring, ventilator management, and care of post-cardiac surgery patients
  • Demonstrated ability to respond calmly under pressure and prioritize urgent needs
  • Strong communication and critical thinking skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive nursing care to adult patients with acute cardiac and vascular conditions
  • Monitor, assess, and document patient status accurately, intervening swiftly and appropriately as conditions evolve
  • Administer medications, manage IV drips, and operate advanced cardiac equipment in accordance with established protocols
  • Support postoperative recovery, perform frequent assessments, and alert physicians to changes in patient condition
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physicians, pharmacists, and allied health professionals to coordinate care plans
  • Educate patients and families about treatment plans, procedures, and post-discharge care requirements
