Provide specialized nursing care in a high-acuity cardiovascular intensive care unit (CVICU) setting, delivering critical support to patients recovering from complex cardiac surgeries and procedures. Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and assess cardiovascular patients, ensuring timely and accurate documentation of vital signs, interventions, and patient responses.
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and established protocols.
- Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams to develop and modify individualized care plans.
- Respond promptly to emergencies and changes in patient status, utilizing advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) skills.
- Educate patients and families regarding post-operative care, lifestyle adjustments, and recovery expectations.
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Proven experience in a Cardiac or Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) setting.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
- Strong critical thinking and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively within fast-paced, multidisciplinary teams.
