Job Description

Experienced registered nurses are invited to join a specialized CVICU team caring for cardiac patients in both pre- and post-operative settings. This contract opportunity is ideal for professionals passionate about critical care and eager to make a significant impact within an advanced cardiovascular intensive care environment.

Schedule/Hours:

  • 36 hours per week
  • Every other weekend required
  • Holiday shifts as needed
  • Flexibility for on-call duties

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid RN license with credentials in CVICU
  • Demonstrated experience in a cardiovascular intensive care unit
  • Strong knowledge of caring for cardiac patients, both pre- and post-operatively
  • Comfortable working alongside a multidisciplinary team
  • Willingness to float to PICU, Peds, and NICU as needed

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert nursing care to cardiac patients throughout surgical and recovery phases
  • Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions using advanced critical care technology
  • Collaborate with surgeons, physicians, and allied health staff to plan and implement individualized care plans
  • Maintain flexibility in scheduling to align with dynamic surgical case needs
  • Respond to emergency situations with skill and composure
  • Adapt quickly to float assignments across various pediatric and neonatal units
