Job Description

Qualifications:

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
  • Minimum one year of recent experience in a CVICU or similar critical care setting
  • BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • Proficient with advanced monitoring, titration of vasoactive infusions, ventilator management, and post-operative cardiac care protocols
  • Strong assessment, prioritization, and communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients recovering from cardiac surgery and interventions
  • Perform ongoing assessment and respond to rapidly changing patient conditions
  • Administer and titrate critical medications and infusions
  • Support families through education and updates during the critical care process
  • Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare staff for optimal patient plans
  • Clearly and accurately document interventions, assessments, and patient responses
