Job Description

A specialized nursing role is available for registered nurses with cardiovascular intensive care experience, focusing on open heart recovery in a critical care setting. This opportunity is based in Mountain Home, Arkansas and involves working within a 17-bed ICU/CSICU unit dedicated to cardiovascular and vascular patient care, including post-surgical recovery for procedures such as coronary artery bypass grafting, heart valve replacement, and advanced therapies involving devices like IABP, ECMO, and Impella Heart Pump. The team upholds high standards of professionalism, integrity, and respect while advancing through Magnet recognition.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to cardiovascular and vascular patients in the ICU/CSICU setting.
  • Monitor and manage post-operative patients recovering from major cardiac surgeries.
  • Operate and oversee advanced life support equipment including ECMO, IABP, and Impella devices.
  • Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team to deliver patient-centered care.
  • Maintain compliance with safety and regulatory standards specific to cardiac critical care.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program; ADN required, BSN preferred.
  • Current Arkansas or Compact State RN License in good standing.
  • Minimum of three years of critical care nursing experience; CRRT experience preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) must be completed within the first six months.
  • Strong communication skills and basic computer proficiency.

Schedule:

  • Day shift, working three 12-hour shifts from 07:00 to 19:00.
