Job Description

Step into a dynamic cardiovascular intensive care environment, providing skilled nursing care to patients requiring critical cardiac support. As a Registered Nurse specializing in the CVICU, you will play an integral role in monitoring patient status, administering life-saving interventions, and collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Valid and current RN license
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a CVICU or similar critical care setting
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications required
  • Strong assessment, critical thinking, and decision-making abilities
  • Experience with complex cardiac care, including management of ventilators, cardiac drips, and hemodynamic monitoring
  • Effective communication and documentation skills

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, evidence-based care to adult patients with acute cardiovascular conditions
  • Assess, monitor, and document patient status, changes, and response to treatments
  • Administer medications, including vasoactive drips, and perform advanced interventions as needed
  • Provide education and emotional support to patients and their families
  • Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other members of the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
  • Adhere to safety protocols, infection control standards, and hospital policies
