Working within a 12-bed Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit on the 2nd floor, you'll be part of a collaborative, highly skilled team caring for post-open-heart surgery patients, managing complex cardiac devices, and responding to the dynamic needs of critically ill patients. Expand your professional portfolio as you adapt to innovative care protocols, work with cutting-edge equipment such as Impella, IABP, ECMO, and develop relationships with accomplished clinical leaders from around the country.

Schedule/Hours

  • Every other weekend required; no on-call shifts

Desired Qualifications

  • Active RN license with CVICU experience preferred
  • Must have experience caring for intubated patients and those on titrating vasoactive drips
  • Strong background with cardiac devices viewed favorably
  • ACLS and BLS certifications required
  • Proficiency with Meditech EMR is a plus
  • Team-player mindset essential

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver expert care for high-acuity cardiac patients, typically at a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio (may be 1:1 for critical cases)
  • Manage devices and therapies such as Impella, IABP, ECMO, and ventilators
  • Participate in typical unit procedures: post-op recovery, intubation/extubation, bedside bronchoscopy, and line placements
  • Collaborate and float to MICU/CVIMU when necessary
