Schedule:
- 12-hour day shifts
- Every other weekend required
- Holidays included
- No on-call obligations
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of CVICU experience
- Active Illinois RN license
- Current certifications: CPR, ACLS, NIHSS
- Demonstrated Epic EMR proficiency
- Passing EKG test score of at least 80%
- Strong clinical background with advanced cardiac equipment (Impella, LVAD, RVAD, CVVHD/CRRT, Swan Ganz, and more)
- Charge experience preferred
- Ability to float to various ICUs as needed
- Experience with devices such as Impella, ECMO, and LVAD management preferred
Responsibilities:
- Deliver expert care for critically ill cardiovascular patients
- Interpret and manage complex cardiac rhythms and hemodynamics
- Oversee post-cardiac surgery, pre/post-cardiac intervention, and valve replacement/repair patients
- Monitor and manage various cardiac devices, ventilators, and advanced therapies
- Maintain infection prevention and adhere to isolation/PPE protocols
- Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams
- Float to other ICUs within the system as needed
