Schedule:

  • 12-hour day shifts
  • Every other weekend required
  • Holidays included
  • No on-call obligations

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of CVICU experience
  • Active Illinois RN license
  • Current certifications: CPR, ACLS, NIHSS
  • Demonstrated Epic EMR proficiency
  • Passing EKG test score of at least 80%
  • Strong clinical background with advanced cardiac equipment (Impella, LVAD, RVAD, CVVHD/CRRT, Swan Ganz, and more)
  • Charge experience preferred
  • Ability to float to various ICUs as needed
  • Experience with devices such as Impella, ECMO, and LVAD management preferred

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver expert care for critically ill cardiovascular patients
  • Interpret and manage complex cardiac rhythms and hemodynamics
  • Oversee post-cardiac surgery, pre/post-cardiac intervention, and valve replacement/repair patients
  • Monitor and manage various cardiac devices, ventilators, and advanced therapies
  • Maintain infection prevention and adhere to isolation/PPE protocols
  • Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams
  • Float to other ICUs within the system as needed
