Work Schedule:

• 12-hour Day Shifts
• Every other weekend required
• Holidays as scheduled
• No on-call obligation

Required Qualifications and Experience:

• Active Illinois RN license
• Current certifications: CPR, ACLS, NIHSS
• Minimum 3 years of recent CV ICU experience
• Must submit a current CV ICU skills checklist and supervisor reference (within the last year)
• Passing EKG test score of 80% or higher required (submit with application)
• Solid Epic EHR experience strongly preferred
• Experience with advanced cardiac devices (Impella, LVAD/RVAD, ECMO) highly valued
• Previous charge nurse experience is preferred (please note on your resume)

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and manage acute cardiac patients, including those post-CABG, valve replacement/repair, and pre/post cardiac interventions
• Administer and titrate vasoactive and cardiac drips, emergency medications, and procedural sedation
• Manage complex devices: Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump, Impella, Swan Ganz catheter, LVAD/RVAD, CVVHD/CRRT
• Care for ventilated patients, including management of BiPAP, CPAP, and HFNC
• Interpret and respond to cardiac rhythms and manage multi-system organ failure cases
• Maintain infection prevention standards and isolation/PPE protocols
• Float to other ICU units within the organization as needed
