Schedule/Hours
- Full-time assignment available
- Varied shifts, including nights and weekends
Qualifications & Experience
- Current, valid RN license
- Minimum one year recent CVICU or cardiac critical care experience
- BLS and ACLS certification required (AHA preferred)
- Strong knowledge of hemodynamic monitoring, cardiac drips, and post-operative care for cardiac surgery patients
- Excellent assessment, critical thinking, and communication abilities
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure, both independently and within a team
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care to adults requiring advanced cardiovascular support
- Monitor cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and manage invasive lines and drains
- Administer medications, IVs, and titrate drips according to physician orders and protocols
- Employ evidence-based nursing interventions for emergent situations
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to coordinate individualized care plans
- Provide patient and family education regarding procedures, treatments, and recovery
- Accurately document all assessments, interventions, and responses in the medical record
- Respond promptly and effectively to emergencies within the unit
