Job Description

Key Qualifications:

  • Active RN license with eligibility to practice
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • At least 1 year of recent experience in a CVICU or similar critical care setting
  • Strong clinical assessment and advanced cardiac monitoring skills
  • Proven ability to respond calmly and effectively in high-pressure situations
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities with patients, families, and healthcare teams

Schedule/Hours:

  • Specific shift and hours will be provided during the interview process

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver evidence-based nursing care to adult patients recovering from complex cardiovascular procedures or conditions
  • Conduct thorough assessments, monitor vital signs, and interpret cardiac rhythms
  • Administer prescribed medications, manage IVs, and operate specialized critical care equipment
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated care and effective discharge planning
  • Document all treatments, patient responses, and communications in compliance with facility policies
  • Participate actively in patient and family education, supporting emotional and informational needs
