Job Description

Seeking an experienced registered nurse with specialized skills in Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) nursing for a contract opportunity. This position offers the chance to provide exceptional care to critically ill cardiac patients in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Qualifications:

  • Current and unrestricted RN license
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in CVICU or similar specialty critical care setting
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
  • Proven ability to manage complex cardiovascular cases and use advanced hemodynamic monitoring
  • Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills

Responsibilities:

  • Delivering direct patient care to adults with serious cardiac and vascular conditions
  • Monitoring, interpreting, and responding to changes in patients cardiovascular status
  • Administering medications, including vasoactive infusions, following physician orders
  • Preparing patients for surgical procedures or interventions as required
  • Collaborating with the multidisciplinary team to coordinate and optimize patient care delivery
  • Maintaining accurate documentation in electronic medical records
  • Educating patients and their families regarding treatment plans and post-discharge care
