Working in this highly respected healthcare facilitys Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) as a travel nurse offers hands-on experience with complex cardiac cases, innovative technologies, and a variety of patient care models. As a CVICU RN, youll expand your clinical skills by collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and adapting to new protocols. Qualifications:
- Active RN license in the state of North Carolina or compact state eligibility
- Minimum of 2 years recent experience in a CVICU or critical care environment
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
- Experience with post-operative cardiac surgical patients preferred
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and evidence-based nursing care to CVICU patients with acute cardiac conditions
- Collaborate closely with physicians, surgeons, and allied health professionals
- Perform and monitor advanced cardiac interventions and use specialized CVICU equipment
- Implement and evaluate individualized care plans
- Educate patients and families on recovery and ongoing care processes
- Respond promptly to changes in patient status, providing high quality critical care

$2,422 - $2,650/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 36 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
