Take on a travel nursing assignment in an advanced Cardiovascular ICU setting, where every day brings new learning opportunities and the chance to perfect your skills in managing complex cases. Key Details:
- Schedule: 12-hour day shifts
- Every other weekend required
- Rotating holidays required
- No on-call
- 16 hours of orientation included
- Potential float to nearby ICUs when needed
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of recent CVICU experience
- Active Illinois RN license, BLS/ACLS, NIHSS certification
- Passing EKG test (80% or higher)
- Experience with Epic EHR
- Proficient in CVICU interventions: dysrhythmia interpretation, post-cardiac surgery care, IABP, Impella, Swan Ganz, CRRT, LVAD/RVAD, ventilator management, advanced IV therapies, and more
- Preferred: prior charge RN experience and familiarity with Impella, ECMO, and LVAD devices
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver evidence-based, compassionate care to cardiovascular ICU patients
- Skillfully manage advanced monitoring equipment and life-saving devices
- Titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips, administer emergency and IV medications
- Perform comprehensive assessments and maintain meticulous patient records
- Uphold infection prevention standards, PPE protocols, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
