Take on a travel nursing assignment in an advanced Cardiovascular ICU setting, where every day brings new learning opportunities and the chance to perfect your skills in managing complex cases. Key Details:

  • Schedule: 12-hour day shifts
  • Every other weekend required
  • Rotating holidays required
  • No on-call
  • 16 hours of orientation included
  • Potential float to nearby ICUs when needed

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of recent CVICU experience
  • Active Illinois RN license, BLS/ACLS, NIHSS certification
  • Passing EKG test (80% or higher)
  • Experience with Epic EHR
  • Proficient in CVICU interventions: dysrhythmia interpretation, post-cardiac surgery care, IABP, Impella, Swan Ganz, CRRT, LVAD/RVAD, ventilator management, advanced IV therapies, and more
  • Preferred: prior charge RN experience and familiarity with Impella, ECMO, and LVAD devices

Core Responsibilities:

  • Deliver evidence-based, compassionate care to cardiovascular ICU patients
  • Skillfully manage advanced monitoring equipment and life-saving devices
  • Titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips, administer emergency and IV medications
  • Perform comprehensive assessments and maintain meticulous patient records
  • Uphold infection prevention standards, PPE protocols, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
