Immerse yourself in a dynamic 19-bed CVICU/CVRU unit, where expert nurses and educators guide your orientation and growth. The unit operates with a high degree of collaborationcharge nurses are always available to support you, and education is at the center of their culture. With exposure to advanced procedures, state-of-the-art technology, and a wide spectrum of cardiac cases, your skillset will expand quickly, enhancing your resume for future roles.
Schedule/Hours:
- Shifts starting at 0645 (arrive no more than 7 minutes before start)
- Every other weekend required
- Flexibility to request extra days off in contract
Required Qualifications:
- Active RN license with BLS/ACLS certifications
- Critical Care training
- Minimum 2 years CVICU or CVRU experience
- Passion for surgical heart care and a high-energy, upbeat approach
Preferred Experience:
- Certification in Critical Care, Cardiac Surgery, or Recovery Room care
Typical Responsibilities:
- Manage hemodynamic monitoring, IABP, Impella devices, and LVADs
- Perform patient ambulation, chest tube/pacer wire pulls, intubation/extubation
- Float to ICUs, stepdowns, or other units as needed
- Uphold unit attire and safety standards
