Take your expertise in critical care to the next level with an opportunity in a high-acuity cardiovascular intensive care environment. This contract nursing role places you at the heart of advanced care, supporting a distinguished clinical team that manages complex cardiac, cardiothoracic surgery, and neuro/neurosurgical cases. Our 15-bed unit is renowned for treating some of the most critically ill patients from across the region, including those requiring ECMO and advanced cardiac support.
Schedule:
- Flexible contract duration

Key Qualifications:
- Active RN license with experience in a CVICU or similar critical care setting
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Certification in the National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
- Successful completion of a proctored rhythm interpretation test
- Solid skills in managing cardiac surgery, cardiac transplant, heart failure, myocardial infarction, arrhythmias, ventricular assist devices, and cardiogenic shock
- Proven ability to provide exceptional nursing care to adolescent through late adult patients (ages 1460+)
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct, evidence-based care to critically ill patientsnurse-to-patient ratios are typically 1:2
- Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians and patient care technicians
- Accurately monitor, record, and communicate patient condition and response to interventions
- Participate in the continuous improvement of patient care protocols, especially relating to ECMO and advanced cardiac therapies
- Respond rapidly to emergent clinical situations as a vital part of the units support system
