- Weekend and night call requirements
Qualifications
- Active NY RN license required
- Minimum 2 years of recent Cath Lab/procedural/sedation experience
- Strong cardiac assessment and intervention skills
- Familiarity with left/right heart catheterization, coronary stents, balloon valvuloplasty, pericardiocentesis, structural heart interventions, intra-aortic balloon pumps, Impella, and EKOS
- Proficiency in procedural sedation and emergency response (STEMI team member experience preferred)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide assessment, monitoring, and intervention for a range of cardiac procedures
- Serve as part of the Emergency On-Call (STEMI) Team
- Administer oral and IV medications accurately and safely
- Monitor patients under sedation, quickly addressing any adverse reactions
- Educate patients and families on surgical site care, lifestyle modifications, and medication management
- Manage all procedural paperwork, charts, consent forms, lab results, and clinical documentation
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care
