Schedule/Hours:
- 13-week contract, with the possibility for extensions
- 40 guaranteed hours per week (4 x 10-hour shifts, MondayFriday)
- On-call approximately 1014 days in a 6-week period, including 2 weekend shifts
- Flexible float between major campuses, with advance notice and approval
Qualifications:
- Current RN license to practice in Texas
- Minimum 3 years of RN experience, including Cardiac Catheterization Lab
- Proficiency in EP procedures, hemodynamics, and recovery area care
- Ability to circulate, monitor, scrub, and provide post-procedure care independently
- Competence with mechanical ventilators, IABP, Impella, and EP Ablation
- BLS certification (AHA)
- Preferred: Advanced cardiovascular certifications (CVRNII, CCRN, RCIS, RCES)
- Experience with EPIC charting highly valued
Responsibilities:
- Deliver expert care throughout the Cath/EP Lab process, from monitoring to recovery
- Accurately identify and intervene in abnormal cardiac rhythms and waveforms
- Rotate on-call and manage late-day cases as assigned
- Adhere to safety protocols and radiation protection standards
