Exciting opportunity for a Registered Nurse experienced in Cardiac Cath Lab settings to support a dynamic, multi-campus healthcare facility known for comprehensive cardiac care and innovative technology. This contract role is ideal for professionals passionate about patient-focused, specialized nursing while working alongside skilled clinicians in a state-of-the-art environment.
Schedule/Hours:
- Four 10-hour shifts per week (7:00AM 7:00PM)
- Rotating call required
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid RN license
- Minimum 2 years of recent Cath Lab experience
- Required certifications: RCIS, ACLS, and BLS
- Advanced EP lab skills highly preferred
- Familiarity with Cath Lab procedures including right and left heart catheterizations (diagnostic and intervention), peripheral diagnostic/intervention
- Experience with advanced equipment: GE Lab, Impella, Balloon pump, Penumbra, IVUS
- Merge Hemo documentation proficiency
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality care in a busy Cardiac Cath Lab with a 3:1 patient ratio
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams for both routine procedures and urgent cases such as STEMI
- Document clinical interventions accurately using Merge Hemo
- Wear provided operating room scrubs and adhere to all facility guidelines and policies
- Occasionally float to a sister hospital for special cardiac call coverage
