An exceptional opportunity awaits experienced Registered Nurses in the Cath Lab, offering a contract role with a dynamic healthcare team serving a diverse patient population. This position emphasizes high-quality, patient-focused care and requires a robust clinical skill set in a specialized procedural environment.
Schedule and On-Call Details:
- Call coverage: 4-5 days per pay period, including 1 weekend per month (weekend call is incorporated in the total).
- Weekday call: From end of shift until 7:30 a.m., Monday through Friday as scheduled.
- Weekend call: From end of shift Friday through 7:30 a.m. Monday during assigned weekend.
Qualifications:
- Active RN license in good standing.
- Recent experience working in a Cath Lab or interventional cardiology setting.
- Advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) and Basic life support (BLS) certifications.
- Strong IV access, telemetry interpretation, and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to respond quickly and effectively in acute care situations.
- Excellent communication, organization, and teamwork skills.
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients undergoing cardiac catheterization, interventional, and electrophysiology procedures.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals in the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
- Monitor patient status before, during, and after procedures, anticipating needs and promptly addressing concerns.
- Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with regulatory and facility guidelines.
- Facilitate safe patient transitions pre- and post-procedure, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and providing detailed patient education.
