Step into a dynamic and rewarding nursing environment specializing in Cath Lab care. This contract opportunity requires a skilled RN to deliver high-quality support within an advanced cardiac care setting. The position is ideal for candidates who thrive in acute care and cardiac procedures, and who are comfortable with regular on-call responsibilities.
Schedule/Hours:
- 1 weekend of call per month
- Weekday on-call requirement: 45 days per pay period, which includes one weekend call
- Scheduled weekday call extends from end of shift to 07:30 (MondayFriday)
- Weekend call schedule is from end of shift Friday through 07:30 Monday
Key Qualifications:
- Current, unencumbered RN license
- Recent experience in Cath Lab required
- BLS and ACLS certifications (must be current)
- Proven ability to respond effectively to emergencies and fast-changing clinical scenarios
- Competence with cardiac monitors, IV access, and cardiac medications
- Strong assessment, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a high-functioning cardiac team
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients undergoing cardiac catheterization and related procedures
- Closely monitor patient status and intervene as needed pre-, intra-, and post-procedure
- Maintain a sterile environment and support physicians during procedures
- Educate patients and families regarding procedural details and after-care
- Accurately document care and maintain precise patient records
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and collaborate on patient care planning
- Adhere to facility safety protocols and infection control regulations
