Schedule/Hours
- 7:00 AM 5:30 PM shift
- Weekend and night call requirements
Qualifications
- Active and unencumbered NY RN license
- Minimum of 2 years cath lab, procedural, or sedation experience
- Proficient in cardiac assessment, emergency response, and procedural monitoring
Preferred Experience
- Familiarity with left/right heart catheterizations, stents, balloon valvuloplasty, pericardiocentesis, structural heart interventions, intra-aortic balloon pumps, Impella, and EKOS
- Prior participation in STEMI or rapid response/emergency on-call teams
Key Responsibilities
- Comprehensive assessment, monitoring, and intervention during complex cardiac procedures
- Accurate administration of oral and intravenous medications
- Skilled management of patients under sedation, recognizing and responding to adverse reactions
- Patient and family education on post-procedure care, lifestyle, and medications
- Detailed documentation and paperwork, including consents, charting, and lab results
- Effective collaboration with physicians and interdisciplinary team members
