Job Description

A professional nursing opportunity is available for an experienced Registered Nurse skilled in Cath Lab procedures. This contract position spans 13 weeks and requires strong expertise in various cardiovascular interventions. The role demands proficiency in both circulating and scrubbing functions within the catheterization lab environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer and monitor procedural sedation during cardiovascular interventions
  • Perform diagnostic right and left heart catheterizations as well as interventional procedures
  • Manage and interpret cardiac dysrhythmias effectively during cases
  • Utilize Pulmonary Artery Line/Swan Ganz monitoring for critical patient care
  • Collaborate seamlessly with the clinical team to ensure patient safety and procedural success
  • Operate within the Electronic Medical Record system, specifically EPIC, to document patient care accurately

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Active Florida or Compact Registered Nurse license
  • Valid ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) and BLS (Basic Life Support) certifications through the American Heart Association
  • NIH certification required
  • Demonstrated experience with cardiac catheterization, pacemakers, ablation procedures, structural and peripheral interventions
  • Ability to scrub and circulate proficiently in the Cath Lab setting
  • Strong clinical judgment and interpersonal skills

Schedule:

  • Four 10-hour shifts per week
  • Shift hours: 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday through Friday
