This travel role in the Cardiac Catheterization Lab (Cath Lab) is ideal for registered nurses passionate about cardiovascular care and excited to collaborate with progressive cardiac teams. Schedule/Hours:

  • Travel role; specific schedules may vary depending on department needs

Qualifications:

  • Active RN license valid in the state of Virginia or compact state
  • Minimum of 2 recent years experience in a Cath Lab setting
  • BLS and ACLS certification (AHA)
  • Proficiency in arrhythmia interpretation, hemodynamic monitoring, and assisting with interventional cardiovascular procedures
  • Experience with moderate sedation and sterile technique
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare patients for diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures
  • Monitor patient condition throughout procedures, recognizing and responding to changes rapidly
  • Collaborate with physicians and allied health professionals in high-acuity settings
  • Maintain accurate documentation and charting in accordance with hospital standards
  • Educate patients and families regarding procedures and post-procedure care
