An opportunity is available for an experienced Registered Nurse with Cath Lab expertise to support vital cardiovascular care services. This contract position requires a dedicated professional who can thrive in a demanding environment, ensuring high-quality treatment for patients in a collaborative clinical setting.
Schedule/Hours:
- One weekend on-call per month (from end of shift Friday to 7:30 AM Monday)
- Weekday on-call 45 days per pay period (call lasts from end of shift to 7:30 AM the following morning; weekend call included in total)
Desired Qualifications:
- Active, unencumbered RN license in the state of Indiana
- Minimum of one year of recent Cath Lab nursing experience preferred
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Strong clinical assessment, monitoring, and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication abilities and team-oriented attitude
- Proficient with Cath Lab equipment, procedures, and documentation
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver patient care before, during, and after catheterization procedures, including pre-procedure preparation and post-procedure recovery
- Collaborate with interventional cardiologists, technologists, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes
- Monitor patients for complications or changes in clinical status throughout procedures and while on-call
- Administer medications and support sedation or analgesia in accordance with protocols
- Maintain detailed and accurate patient records and ensure strict adherence to aseptic techniques
- Respond quickly to emergent situations when on-call, following facility protocols
