Provide expert nursing care in a high-acuity cath lab setting, contributing to critical cardiovascular procedures and patient recovery. This travel position is based in Milwaukee, WI, offering an engaging opportunity to work within a dynamic clinical environment. The role involves working closely with multidisciplinary teams using EPIC systems and delivering specialized care with a focus on structural heart interventions.
Schedule & Hours:
- 4 days a week, 4-10 hour shifts (06:00 16:30)
- Call requirements: 1-2 weeknight call shifts (17:00 06:00)
- One weekend call every 4th weekend (Friday 17:00 Monday 06:00)
- Holidays covered on a rotating basis with regular staff
Qualifications/ Desired Experience:
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensed in the state of practice
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a cath lab setting
- Prior travel nursing experience preferred
- Experience with structural heart procedures is desirable
- Proficient with EPIC electronic medical records system
- Flexibility to float onsite within your skill set and to locations within a 40-mile radius as needed
Responsibilities/Duties:
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care specific to cardiac catheterization and interventional cardiology
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to optimize patient outcomes
- Respond effectively on call as scheduled, managing emergent and routine care situations
- Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with hospital protocols using EPIC
- Adapt to floating assignments while maintaining high-quality patient care standards
