Job Description

Advance your nursing career in a dynamic cardiac care environment as a Cath Lab RN. Utilize your expertise to support diverse cardiac procedures, recovery, and patient monitoring. This contract opportunity offers a three 12-hour day shift schedule each week, providing flexibility and time for personal commitments.

Schedule:

  • 3x12 hour day shifts each week
  • On-call required: 1-2 nights weekly
  • Weekend requirement: 1 weekend every 4-6 weeks

Qualifications:

  • Active California RN license (no pending licenses)
  • Minimum of 2 years Cath Lab RN experience
  • At least 1 year of ICU, ER, or PACU experience
  • Certifications: ACLS and BLS (current)
  • First-time travelers encouraged and accepted
  • Supervisory or higher professional references required at the time of application

Preferred Skills & Special Requirements:

  • Proficient in recovery following cardiac catheterization, percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI), patent foramen ovale (PFO), chronic total occlusions (CTO), and electrophysiology (EP) procedures
  • Experience monitoring or assisting with pacemaker, BiV, AICD, and Cryo interventions
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
  • Strong critical thinking and adaptability to a fast-paced hospital setting
  • No floating required

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct care during cardiac cath lab procedures and recovery
  • Monitor post-procedural patients closely for complications
  • Document nursing assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately
  • Collaborate with physicians and staff for optimal patient outcomes
  • Maintain a safe, patient-focused environment
