Job Description

Elevate patient care by leveraging your expertise as a Registered Nurse in a dynamic cath lab environment. This contract opportunity offers exposure to advanced cardiovascular procedures and the chance to collaborate closely with skilled medical professionals dedicated to excellence.

Schedule/Hours:

  • One weekend per month required; weekend call is counted in overall call shifts
  • Weekday call: 4-5 days each pay period, with call starting at end of shift and lasting until 07:30 the next morning (MondayFriday per scheduled call)
  • Weekend call: End of shift Friday through 07:30 Monday

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist physicians with a variety of diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures
  • Monitor patients condition and vital signs before, during, and after procedures
  • Maintain strict adherence to sterile techniques while preparing rooms and equipment
  • Provide safe sedation, administer medications, and accurately document care
  • Respond calmly and efficiently to emergencies, demonstrating strong critical thinking skills
  • Communicate clearly with patients and families, offering education and emotional support throughout the process

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Current RN license with active registration in good standing
  • Previous experience in cardiac cath lab settings highly desirable
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications required
  • Proficient in cardiac monitoring, vascular access, and recovering post-procedure patients
  • Excellent teamwork, interpersonal, and organizational skills
