Enhance patient care and expand your clinical expertise in a dynamic cardiac catheterization laboratory setting. Registered Nurses skilled in Cath Lab nursing are needed for an engaging contract role. In this position, you will play a pivotal role in supporting interventional cardiology procedures and post-procedure recovery, working closely with a highly skilled medical team.

Schedule/Hours:

• Full-time hours
• Shifts may vary, dependent on department needs

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

• Active, unencumbered RN license
• Minimum of one year recent experience in a Cath Lab setting
• Advanced knowledge of cardiac cath lab procedures and protocols
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to remain calm and decisive in high-pressure situations
• Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities

Responsibilities:

• Provide care for patients before, during, and after cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology procedures
• Monitor patient status, administer medications, and anticipate needs during procedures
• Assist physicians with invasive cardiovascular procedures, maintaining a sterile field
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with hospital policies
• Educate patients and families about procedures and post-care expectations
• Respond swiftly to emergencies during procedures and initiate life-saving interventions as needed
• Collaborate effectively with physicians, technologists, and other nursing professionals
