This role is ideal for Registered Nurses with a background in Cath Lab who are eager to expand their professional horizons. Within this dynamic unit, you'll be involved in comprehensive cardiac care, from scrubbing and circulating Cath and EP procedures to preparing and recovering patients. You'll benefit from working alongside expert practitioners in a Level 2 Trauma Center, Chest Pain Center, and Stroke Center, furthering your expertise in both routine and complex cases.
Schedule/Hours:
- Four 10-hour shifts (07001730) per week
- Six-week scheduling cycle
- Expect weekend rotation and call (1 day weekly and 1 weekend every 4th5th weekend)
- 30-minute call response time
- Holiday coverage for 70% of holidays
Qualifications:
- Active RN license with at least 2 years of Cath Lab experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications required; NIHSS preferred
- Comfortable circulating, administering moderate sedation, titrating/managing critical drips
- Able to scrub and circulate Cath/EP procedures, and float to Prep/Recovery
- Open to first-time travelers
- Experience with EPIC EMR and Cath Lab equipment (BBG, ACT, Balloon Pumps, Impella) preferred
Responsibilities:
- Prepping, monitoring, and recovering Cath and EP lab patients
- Circulating and scrub roles in mixed Cath/EP procedures
- Administering sedation and critical drips
- Floating to Prep/Recovery area as needed
- Maintaining a high standard of autonomous practice and collaborative care
