Schedule/Hours:
- 7:00 am 5:30 pm
- Four 10-hour shifts per week
- Call required after one week of orientation: 1215 days per 6-week schedule, including two weekends
- Weekday call: 5:30 am7:00 am; weekend call: 7:00 am7:00 am
Key Qualifications:
- Current, valid Pennsylvania RN license (Board approved)
- Minimum BLS, PALS, and ACLS certifications required
- Experience in pediatric cardiac catheterization lab preferred
- Strong assessment skills; critical care experience with neonates through adolescents is ideal
- Knowledge of congenital heart disease highly valued
Core Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive reviews of patient histories, allergies, and consent forms
- Ensure readiness of cath lab rooms with medications and emergency equipment
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, anesthesiologists, and team members
- Assist during diagnostic, interventional, and electrophysiology procedures
- Maintain sterile technique while performing circulating and scrubbing roles
- Operate point-of-care testing equipment and manage contrast administration
- Recognize and respond promptly to emergency situations
