Take your cardiovascular nursing skills to the next level in a dynamic cath lab environment. This contract role is ideal for an RN experienced in cardiac procedures who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative setting and is prepared to deliver exceptional patient care alongside an expert team.

Schedule and On-Call Details:

• 1 weekend of call per month (Friday end of shift through Monday 0730)
• Weekday on-call: 4-5 days per pay period, end of shift to 0730 per scheduled call, with the weekend included in the total monthly call requirements

Qualifications:

• Current, unrestricted RN license
• Proven experience in a cath lab or similar interventional cardiology setting
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking abilities
• Proficient in assisting physicians with diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Exceptional communication and teamwork skills
• Adaptability to manage call duties and respond to urgent cardiovascular situations

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care before, during, and after cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology procedures
• Monitor vital signs and cardiac rhythms; intervene appropriately during emergencies
• Administer medications, including moderate sedation, in accordance with policies and physician directives
• Maintain accurate documentation throughout the continuum of care
• Collaborate with physicians, laboratory technologists, and ancillary staff to optimize patient outcomes
• Actively participate in quality improvement, safety, and infection prevention practices
